PACKET PICKUP IS THIS WEEKEND!

Sat 11/18 & Sun 11/19 Noon - 4 PM at the old Fleet Feet location just to the right of Whole Foods in Ridgewood Shopping Center.  You may pick up for friends/family or have them pick up for you.  PLEASE come this weekend to make Thanksgiving morning less stressful for everyone!

Registration Price (shirts have sold out):

• 8K Race:
  • Through August 31:  $29
  • Sept 1 - Oct 31:  $32
  • Nov 1 - Nov 17:   $35
  • Nov 18 - Nov 22:  $40
  • Race Day Registration (if not sold out):  $50
• Kids Dash (age 7 & Under):  $7

If you register now, you will not receive a race shirt as all styles/sizes are sold out.  Come back to packet pickup as soon as you finish your 8K race.  Whatever shirts were not picked up by other runners will be available on a first-come first-served basis.  If you received a shirt but prefer a different style/size, bring it then to see if you can swap it.

There are no refunds or deferrals.  If you cannot attend we can change you to the Virtual 8K or you can transfer your bib to another runner.  Transfer may only be done in person at advanced check-in on Saturday 11/18 & Sunday 11/19 from noon - 4 PM at Ridgewood Shopping Center.  There is a $10 transfer fee and the replacement runner must register online at packet pickup.  There are no transfers after 11/19 packet pickup.

Family/Group RATE:  Registrations totaling $110 or more in a single order receive a 20% discount by using the promo code FriendsAndFamily.  Register the entire family all at once with the promo code and SAVE 20%.

Dogs are NOT permitted on the course.  Our event insurance does not permit dogs.  In addition, a couple of years ago a runner brought a dog and another runner tripped over the dog and fell.  The race is large and the course is crowded.  Even a well-behaved dog is dangerous.

Strollers/baby joggers are permitted, but we ask those running with them to start toward the back and prioritize safety over speed.

Road Closures & Detours

Be aware that construction on I-440 (Raleigh Beltline) has the Wade Avenue and Hillsborough Street exits closed on the OUTER Beltline.  If you are coming to Meredith (race parking) from North Raleigh you will need to allow extra time and plan an alternate route.  You could exit the Beltline at Lake Boone Trail. 

Be aware that the southernmost block of Ridge Road is closed (between Wade Ave and Leonard Street) will be closed on race morning for start line setup.

The women's is a very nice Bella Canvas long-sleeve shirt (heather gray)  The men's/unisex shirt is a Gildan "Ultra Cotton" heavyweight long-sleeve shirt color olive.

An important note about shirts:  Your shirt must be picked up at advanced check-in (Nov 18 & 19) or on race morning.  If your shirt is not picked up prior to the race it will be given to another runner.  Shirts will not be shipped or given out after race day!

Top 3 M&F in these age groups:  14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+


Parking

Parking for ALL race participants is at Meredith College.  Please use the Faircloth Rd entrance.  Note that 1 block of Ridge Rd from Wade Ave to Leonard St is CLOSED for the race start. 

- Driving on I-440:  Exit at Wade Avenue East (toward downtown Raleigh) then take 1st right onto Faircloth St.  Parking is on the right.
- Driving from Ridge Rd:  Ridge Rd does not connect to Wade due to road closure for the start.  Take Dixie Trail east.  Turn right onto Wade Ave then left onto Faircloth St.  Parkins is on the right.
- Drive from Hillsborough St:  Turn north on Faircloth St.  Parking is on the left.

- Advanced Check-In:  Saturday 11/18 & Sunday 11/19 from Noon-4 pm at Ridgewood Shopping Center.  You may pick up bibs for others or have a friend or family member pick up yours.
- Race Day: 
   o 6:30 AM  Parking opens at Meredith College opens
   o 6:45-8:15 AM  Race Day Check-In (in the old Fleet Feet location to the right of Whole Foods)
   o 8:15 AM Gather for 8K on Ridge Road (between Wade Ave and Leonard)
   o 8:30 AM  8K Race start
   o 9:20 AM Awards Ceremony
   o 9:35 Kids gather near the Ridge Rd entrance to the shopping center.  Kids Dash starts as last runners finish.
